White to move. White wants to play Nd4, trading off the minor pieces and preparing a battery against the isolated D-pawn. Is this move tactically justified?

White to move.

Spassky ended the game by 1. Qc8+ Kh7 2. Qxe6! and Black resigned due the threat of f7.
Curiously, the following year Spassky won as Black against Larsen by exploiting a passed pawn. (See next week's problem for that game!)
