College
Resources
Colorado College has many resources
available to assist students academically. Here is a short
list of the resources that may be most useful.
Note: These links will all
open a new browser window.
Academic Assistance
The Learning
Commons in Tutt Library is home to a variety of academic
resources.
The Writing
Center offers tutoring and workshops aimed at helping
students improve their writing and public speaking skills.
The Quantitative
Reasoning Center provides help with quantitative reasoning
and problem solving questions. Good for statistics; alas,
no Number Munchers, however.
The Office
of First-Year and Sophomore Studies and Advising provides
academic advising as a supplement to the faculty advisor program.
Senior Paper Resources
This Senior
Paper Resources site was created in order to help inspire
Anthropology students on what they might study/research for
their senior paper. This
link will send you to the PROWL homepage. Login and under
the Anthropology department (Social Sciences), search for
the class named "Anthropology Senior Paper Resources."
Feel free to browse, take some ideas, or add some ideas of
your own!
Academic Resources
Tutt
Library maintains a large collection
of books and journals available both in print and online.
Course reserve materials are also available here.
The college has several computer
labs (both PC and Mac) that students may use. You can find
out more about lab locations and hours here.
Scholarships, Fellowships
& Grants
Here are a few post-graduate
scholarships and fellowships offered through the college.
The Financial
Aid office can provide information on scholarships available
to current students.
Students may also apply for
research grants from the Venture
Fund (note, this link opens a PDF file).
Campus
Activities provides a page with some information about
other avenues of funding available for attending conferences,
bring in speakers, and faculy/student collaborations.
Other Anthropology-related
Websites
These are a collection of links,
scholarly and not-so-scholarly, that might prove useful and/or
interesting. C/O your paraprof.
