How does our Garden grow?

With the support of Dean Richard Storey and ITS, the student computer labs in the north basement of Tutt have been expanded with eight new computer workstations and a printer. The new Garden Lab was opened for the end of Block II.

Alien Invasion?

You may have noticed some strange devices hovering near the ceilings in the library. These are wireless transmitters installed by ITS for access to the campus network. Instructions for configuring your laptop may be found on the Help Desk web pages, http://www.coloradocollege.edu/helpdesk/Documentation/wireless.htm.

Library Lunch and Learn

Tutt librarians are offering brief informative sessions on a variety of topics this year at our Thursday Library Lunch and Learn series. Response so far has been great. Future sessions will cover fun and serious topics including Fair Use in the Digital Library, Travel, Table of Contents Services, and Online Shopping.

Collection Inventory

During the summer of 2002, circulation and cataloging staff conducted a complete inventory of the regular stacks, oversize, folio and reference collections. The total number of books inventoried was 274,214. There were over 8,700 errors found, which include misshelved volumes, call number errors, checked out but on shelf, and a few books that belong to other Prospector libraries. Cataloging staff are still working on projects to clear up errors revealed by the inventory, including checking for missing books.
