Some database vendors maintain permanent links (persistent URLs or PURLS)
to articles in their databases. These links can be saved, added to course reading
lists, or included on other web documents. In most cases, the links are created
by simply saving the URL generated when the article is viewed. However,some,
such as FirstSearch and Science Direct databases, require extra steps to generate
a PURL. More databases will be adding PURL linking ability. These
listings are current as of 5/23/03.
