Rene Salie, Diary of a Canon City Woman, 1925-1929, Ms 0381
Transcribed Irene Draper, 2014.

1925 to 1929 diary handwritten by 20 year old Rene Salie, a young woman who lived in or near Canon City Colorado. Each page has spaces for entries on the same day over multiple years. Many entries for 1925-26, fewer for 1927-29. Lacks pages for December 23-24. Ticket stubs, clippings, etc. pasted or laid in. Salie worked at Affleck’s Photo Shop and did a fair amount of hiking, camping and traveling around the area. She mentions Lindbergh's flight and a riot at Colorado State Penitentiary.
