The Earle Flagpole is a single piece of cast bronze towering 75 feet into the air, crowned with an eagle. Four life-size bronze tigers crouch at its base.
A design along the border incorporates the Colorado state flower, the Columbine, along with the official shield and seal of the college - an open book with the motto "Scientia et Disciplina."
The flagpole was the gift of Mrs. Augusta D. Swart-Earle.
