Tutt main floor, behind circulation desk
What I Do
My first responsibility here at Tutt is to our patrons, as part of the team ensuring that the circulation desk runs smoothly and that library materials return to the right place after being used. I am the primary supervisor of Circulation’s many student employees (16 at last count), who spend most of their time shelving, working in the stacks, and helping patrons at the counter. I also help faculty create physical and electronic reserves for their courses, and I do a little bit of reference work (especially on Friday nights). One of my favorite occasional tasks here at the library is Reader’s Advisory – helping people to find the perfect “fun read” for weekends, block breaks, or as study relief.
