Searching TIGER by keyword or subject is often the fastest way to find books about your topic.

For books that we don’t own here at Colorado College, or books that are checked out or otherwise unavailable, use Prospector - Colorado Unified Catalog . You’ll find books (and CDs, DVDs, etc.) in libraries across Colorado that you can request and have sent to the Tutt Library circulation desk where you can check them out.

For books not available in TIGER or Prospector, you can request through Interlibrary Loan via WorldCat .

Civil War Service Reports Of Union Army Generals: Coverage: 1864-1887; Union generals' reports submitted to the Adjutant General's Office (AGO) on their service during the Civil War period. The reports were submitted over a 23-year period and varied widely in length and subject matter. Content includes accounts of major battles in the Civil War, interactions with Native Americans, recruitment of African Americans for the Union forces, and Reconstruction. Part of Archives Unbound.
Colorado Historic Newspaper Collection: Coverage: 1859 -; Search historic Colorado newspapers from cities and counties throughout the state, published in English and other languages. The database includes digital versions of newspapers found on microfilm at the Colorado Historical Society's Stephen H. Hart Library that were published between 1859 and 1928. New material is usually added once a month. Some issues of the Colorado Springs Gazette are included.

Correspondence From German Concentration Camps And Prisons, 1936-1945: Coverage: 1936-1945; Correspondence written or received by prisoners held in German concentration camps, internment and transit camps, Gestapo prisons, and POW camps, during and just prior to World War II. In addition to letters and postcards, the collection includes receipts for parcels, money orders and personal effects; paper currency; and realia, including Star of David badges. Humanities International Complete: Coverage: 1929 - current; A comprehensive humanities database, with almost 500 full text titles and indexing and abstracting for more than 1,700 titles. Subject areas include (but are not limited to) literature, philosophy, the arts, history, culture-oriented and multi-disciplinary humanities titles with some coverage going back as far as 1929. This database replaces Humanities Abstracts.
In The First Person: Coverage: mostly 19th and 20th century; Find primary-source, first person accounts such as oral histories, diaries, etc. Indexes Alexander Street databases (via CC subscription) and material freely available on the Web.

Online journal archives

Unlike the subject-specific article databases, these online journal archives don’t concentrate on any one academic subject. Instead, they take leading journals from many fields, or all the journals from one publisher, and provide extensive archives of the full text of those journals online, usually in the form of PDF files.
