Collection Development Group

Collection Development Group

Meets once a block to evaluate proposals for new electronic resources, periodical subscriptions, and major purchases (generally items exceeding $1,000), review fund status, plan collection projects, and share information. Has developed a working collection development policy. Members and collection responsibilities:

Director – Ivan Gaetz – Overall fund management, database contract negotiation, consortial purchases.

Acquisitions Coordinator – Lana Slaton – processes orders for materials, selects vendors, assigns funds and maintains fund balance reports. Selects materials for current leisure reading collection.

Archivist and Curator of Special Collections – Jessy Randall – Special Collections and Colorado College Archives, preservation issues.

Public Services/Collections Librarian – Lisa Lister – gift collections, collection development projects, supervision of acquisitions, reference collection, vendor liaison.

Government Documents Librarian – McKinley Sielaff- government documents.

How to

Renew borrowed items

Log into your TIGER account to renew any items borrowed from our library or a Prospector library. For materials borrowed through Interlibrary Loan, contact the Interlibrary Loan office.
Borrow from the library

Campus community members must have a valid Gold Card to check out materials. See further details for students, faculty, staff, spouses and dependents, alumni, affiliates of area colleges or universities and other Colorado residents.
Borrow from other libraries

If you can’t find what you need at our library, try Prospector to search and request items from regional libraries. You can also submit an Interlibrary Loan request to borrow from other libraries.

Connect to the wireless

Print to a library printer

The library network printers are called “tuttfirstfloor” and “tuttbasement”. To print to these printers, first you have to map them using these Help Desk instructions.

You are welcome to suggest library materials for purchase, including books, videos, databases and journals.

Browse past venture grant proposals online. The Circulation Desk also keeps a folder of past proposals.

Access library databases from home
