Guidelines for Scheduling of TLC1 and TLC2

The TLC1 and TLC2 computer labs in Tutt Library are primarily for library instruction classes taught by librarians and this purpose always has priority over other uses.

We realize, however, that there is a delicate balance between meeting student instruction needs and also supporting the broader needs of the College. Therefore, we provide the following guidelines for scheduling:

TLC1 and TLC2 should be computer labs of last resort for classes or meetings that are not library-related. Nevertheless, it is possible to reserve these rooms for one-time classroom use if they are not scheduled by the library. These labs are not available for daily use by a class.

Description:
TLC1 has 25 desktop computers. TLC2 has 12 laptop computers.

Alternatives:
Support for classroom use of technology is provided by Educational Technology Services (ETS). Faculty needing to use a classroom with computers can reserve a teaching lab through the “online reservation system” on ETS Web site at
http://www.coloradocollege.edu/ats/labs.htm

If a (non-computer) room is needed to show a film, the WES Room in Worner can be scheduled (x6607) or Room 11 in the basement of Armstrong (x6378). If you need a room for presentations (with projection equipment), the TLC3 classroom in the Learning Commons may be an option. It is scheduled through the Learning Commons (x6168).
