Designed and printed by James Trissel in Goudy Old Style and Futura types; section titles lettered by Trissel. Carol Neel assisted with editing. Type set on computer and negatives produced by a Linotronic printer at Service Typographers in Colorado Springs. Foil is hot-stamped. Title page sheet handmade by Tom Leech; balance of the paper is Johannot. 28 illustrations from a variety of sources, including bird drawings from photographs that were altered by Trissel. Virtually all the diagrams and most of the type were printed from polymer plates made from negatives at the Press. The double gatefold sheets each consist of 2 pages of text and a central color panel, along with 1 title sheet. Linen-covered tray case by Sally Hegarty; title printed on blue paper and pasted to spine. Assistance from Travis Jordan and Brian Molanphv. Edition of 50 copies. Sheet size 151/8“ x 203/4“ (opens to 48”).
